Title Year Nominal size Condition Price
Empire Strikes Back (GWTW style) 1980 US 40" x 60" Fine £1,275
Notes: 40” x 60” large format posters are always rare because they were printed in small numbers on cardstock and intended for use in outside areas, but this one is especially rare. This is the much sought after 'Gone With The Wind' style poster that was withdrawn early in the film's release and replaced with the style B because it omitted to show some of the main characters. Empire Strikes Back (GWTW style) Original Vintage Movie Poster
Title Year Nominal size Condition Price
Empire Strikes Back (GWTW style) 1980 UK quad - 40"x30" Fine/Near Mint £4,250
Notes: One of the rarest and most beautiful of all the Star Wars saga posters, this is the so-called "Gone With The Wind" style UK quad for the first release of The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, featuring artwork by Roger Kastel. Famously withdrawn because it omitted key characters, this version of the poster was only used for the premiere in London's West End which meant that it appeared in a handful of cinemas and central London Underground stations. Almost all of those still existing are trimmed undersize (39" x 26.5") for use on London Underground, with the few untrimmed copies to have surfaced retailing for up to £10,000. This is one of the trimmed copies, folded in excellent condition.

Fillmore Original Vintage Movie Poster
Title Year Nominal size Condition Price
Fillmore 1972 US 1 sht - 27"x41" Very Good/Fine £45
Notes: End of an era documentary about 60's rock promoter Bill Graham that chronicles the last days of his Fillmore West which he closed in 1971 along with the Fillmore East a while later. FILLMORE gives us a no nonsense look at the music business after the nirvana of the 1960's had evaporated. When love of music became secondary to egos and business interests, Graham decided to get out of the business. On the other hand, when talented musicians like Boz Scaggs, Carlos Santana, Elvin Bishop and Jerry Garcia take the stage to do their thing, it's easy to see why he got into the business in the first place. This poster is from the film's first release, folded as originally issued to cinemas.

An important and iconic film. This is a folded quad poster in excellent condition from the first release in The UK.

Fistful of Dollars Original Vintage Movie Poster
Title Year Nominal size Condition Price
Fistful of Dollars 1964 Argentina 1 sht - 29"X43" Very Good £55
Notes: The first of Sergio Leone's trilogy, A fistful of Dollars, was notable for several reasons. It was the first really successful Spaghetti western. It was a masterly retelling of Kurosawa's Yojimbo. And despite being directed by Sergio Leone, the credits identified a fictional Bob Robertson as director - the (misguided) studio wanted to give the impression that it was a proper American western not an Italian one. This poster is from an early 70's re-release in Argentina, folded as originally issued to cinemas, with minor archival tape repairs to the back that do not affect presentation.
