Live and Let Die (cropped style) Original Vintage Movie Poster
Title Year Nominal size Condition Price
Live and Let Die (cropped style) 1973 UK quad - 40"x30" Fine £625
Notes: A surreal blaxploitation style Bond movie, Roger Moore's first outing as James Bond is, in equal measures, comical and action-packed. You'll never get bored but it's definitely the weirdest Bond ever with loads of utterly bizarre moments. This is a UK quad poster from the first UK release, folded in excellent condition. This is one of a well known large batch that had the white borders lightly trimmed at the time of release and now measures 38.5" x 26.5". It's likely that this was done for use on the London Underground network as UK quads routinely had about 3" trimmed off the top to fit their poster sites during this period. With untrimmed copies fetching up to £1500, it's priced at a substantial discount despite the artwork being unaffected.

Live and Let Die (West Hemi) Original Vintage Movie Poster
Title Year Nominal size Condition Price
Live and Let Die (West Hemi) 1973 US Insert - 14"X36" Fine £165
Notes: Surreal blaxploitation style Bond movie, Roger Moore's first outing as JB is, in equal measures, comical and action-packed. You'll never get bored. But it's definitely the weirdest Bond ever with loads of utterly bizarre moments. Note that this one-sheet was stamped "WEST HEMI" which means it was printed for US domestic use and in one half of the world (there were also posters stamped "EAST HEMI" for use in the other half of the world!). THIS WAS DUE TO THE TWO PRODUCERS (Saltzman and Broccoli) BEING UNABLE TO AGREE ON WHO SHOULD GET FIRST BILLING! They resolved this by having posters for half of the world having one of their names first, and on the other half of the world, they reversed it! From the first release, folded as issued.

Notes: Super rare British quad poster for this American classic. The 1956 film was a spin-off from the hugely popular TV series of the time. It's worth pointing out that The Lone Ranger was way ahead of its time in ideological terms, with close co-operation with and respect for the native American community at a time that most 1950's westerns glorified the destruction of their culture and theft of their lands. Folded in excellent condition.
