|Fistful of Dollars

|Notes: The first of Sergio Leone's trilogy, A fistful of Dollars, was notable for several reasons. It was the first really successful Spaghetti western. It was a masterly retelling of Kurosawa's Yojimbo. And despite being directed by Sergio Leone, the credits identified a fictional Bob Robertson as director - the (misguided) studio wanted to give the impression that it was a proper American western not an Italian one. This poster is from an early 70's re-release in Argentina, folded as originally issued to cinemas, with minor archival tape repairs to the back that do not affect presentation.
