|Notes: This rare first print run poster has a fair amount of wear and tear from use but, with the iconic Jung artwork, it is still one of the most sought after of all Star Wars posters. Such was the success of the film, there were four different poster print runs for the A sheet in 1977 to meet demand from cinemas - all are considered to be first release although there are value differences between the runs. The first, and the most collectable, had NSS reference 77/21-0 with later 1977 runs marked 77/21. This is probably the most bootlegged of all film posters with many more fakes than real posters in circulation but this is guaranteed to be an authentic 1977 first release poster, NSS reference 77/21-0. This particular poster is the international version, printed without the US ratings box but otherwise identical. Linen backed, it has a lot of edge wear, including some loss of paper to the lower edge, but despite this more patinated state it still presents well and is listed at a clearance price that is half the usual going rate.
