Notes: Kowalski, the disaffected anti-hero of the story, takes a bet that he can deliver a 1970 Dodge Challenger musclecar from Colorado to Frisco, California in less than 15 hours. After a few run-ins with motorcycle cops and highway patrol they start a chase to bring him into custody. Throw in lots of chase scenes, gay hitchhikers, a naked woman riding a motorbike, lots of Mopar and you've got a great cult hit from the early 70's. This poster is from the film's first release in the UK, folded as issued with minor tape burns on the lower edge. It has been trimmed by two inches (taken from top and bottom edges) without the loss of any significant artwork. This is due to use on London Underground - From the late 60's till the mid 80's London Underground routinely trimmed quad posters to around 40" x 28" to fit their advertising hoardings which differed in size to the standard cinema displays. |
